Deep Lock - Located in Hluboka nad Vltavou in southern Bohemia. Among the most visited cultural sites in the Czech Republic.
At the site of today's Renaissance castle in deep used to be in the thirteenth century fortress, which was later replaced by a Gothic castle guard. At its inception was a major magnate William Pernstein, after which the owner of the castle became King Ferdinand I of Habsburg. In 1562 he bought the manor lords of Henry Hradec, which deep rebuilt in Renaissance style. The next owner of the castle was a Protestant family Lords of Malovice, but because of their beliefs about the property lost. The property received as compensation for war claims the Spanish commander Baltazar de Marradas. Since his nephew bought it then Jan Adolf I. Schwarzenberg family dynasty.
In the early 18th century Baroque appearance Deep acquired later underwent a major reconstruction, inspired by the English royal castle Windsor. The era of the famous house on Deep ended in 1939, when the last owner of Adolf Schwarzenberg emigrated abroad from the Nazis. They lock in 1940 confiscated. After the war, then the property was nationalized.
