Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (27. 1. 1756 - 5. 12. 1791) - Austrian composer, piano virtuoso. One of the world's greatest musical geniuses: in his short life he created six hundred twenty-six works.
Born in Salzburg as the youngest of seven children composer Leopold Mozart and his wife Anna Marie. Lived to adulthood, however, only he and his four years older sister Marie. Wolfgang's extraordinary talent manifested itself very early and got to the composition in just five years. Rumours about the prodigy quickly spread. Little Mozart featured in awe aristocratic families throughout Europe and also spoke in French and English royal court.
It was in England he met with Johann Sebastian Bach, who then gave him an hour on the piano.
In 1769, Mozart was appointed concert master of the Archbishop of Salzburg and in the period from 1770 to 1773, he undertook three study trips to Italy, making it perfectly know the local famous musical environment.
