Vojtch Hynais (14. 12. 1854 - 22. 8. 1925) - an important Czech painter, created history as the author of the curtain of the National Theatre, as well as other allegorical scenes.
Vojtech Hynais was born in a family of a Czech tailor in Vienna. About homeland and the history of his father took a lively interest from an early age, but in Bohemia permanently moved up in his thirty-nine years. Before he could study at the Vienna Academy and was behind a study stay in Italy and France. In Paris even opened his own studio and was friends with major French and Czech painters who in the former capital of European culture resided.
Hynais was also a photographer, which is obviously reflected in his art work, as a number of paintings in style reminds photographs. The main work of this author allegorical scenes of the curtain of the National Theatre, which replaced the original curtain Francis eniek already destroyed by fire in 1881.
