Saint James - one of the twelve apostles, disciples of Jesus Christ and the first martyr among them. To distinguish it from other apostle James the son of Alphaeus and namesake is also known as James larger, older, or the son of Zebedee.
Jakub was born in a fishing family in the village of Bethsaida, which was located near the lake of Galilee in Palestine.
