Horse-drawn tramway in Prague - operation on the first track of Prague "horse tram" was inaugurated on September 23, 1875. The section began at the Chain Bridge Emperor Francis I. Karlin and ended at the Invalides. The railroad built a Belgian businessman Edouard Otlet, therefore it was called also Otletova Konka. The official operator of the Belgian stock company Prague tramwaye.
In May of the following year career followed the next section leading to Smchov. Chain Bridge, however, passengers must pass both banks of the Vltava Konka directly linking up in 1883 through Palacky Bridge. At that time, they all sections horse track length of almost twenty kilometers.
