Praga 2008 - International Stamp Exhibition. It was held in Prague from 12 to 14 September 2008. The exhibition was divided into the Industrial Palace Exhibition in Holeovice and Postal Museum.
The event was attended by members of sixty Philatelic Associations, the competition jury accepted 512 exhibits. The organizers awarded 340 medals, of which twenty-two and ninety large gold florins. With great interest met part of the collection of Queen Elizabeth II., Which was placed in an air conditioned and stringent security exposure. Missing it, or the legendary Blue Mauritius.
The event was organized by the Union of Czech Philatelists, together with the Czech post. Overall, the exhibition was attended by 45 thousand visitors. Tradition exhibitions Praga dates back to the pre-war period, the first one was held in 1938. Since 1968, the exhibition held a ten year period.
In parallel with the exhibition Praga 2008 was held and International Fair Collector, which includes a collector of postcards, numismatics, banknotes, phone cards, minerals and precious stones.
