Museum of Glass and Jewellery - is in Jablonec nad Nisou. Institute cherishes the unique and extensive collection of objects relating to the history of Czech glass making, jewelery and costume jewelery. The museum was founded in 1904, when it was opened the first permanent exhibition. Since 1911, housed in its own building on School Street. After II. World War II exhibition, under the name of the Museum for art industry, moved to an Art Nouveau building firm Zimmer and Schmidt at that Jirskova Street (today's street-men), home to the present day. The current name of the Museum of Glass and Jewellery in force since 1961, when the equipment under its administration was taken over District National Committee in Jablonec nad Nisou. (Since 1953, the museum came under the National Technical Museum, was conducted as a branch).
In 2004, after an extensive technical reconstruction, after which added new exhibition The Magical World of jewelery and Enchanted Garden - Czech Glass.
Jablonec museum attractions include two hundred and twenty meters long glass necklace, the longest of its kind in the world, a student-built local School of Applied Arts. Extensive collections, numbering thousands of items, which are not even literature, for example, records the Central Registry collections Ministry of Culture.
