Krom chateau and garden: Heritage UNESCO - on the UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage was the archbishop's palace and garden complex in Kromeriz recorded in 1998. Krom Palace served as the seat of the Olomouc bishops and archbishops. It was created in 1512 a Gothic castle from XIII. century. Originally it was a building in the Renaissance style, during the Thirty Years War the castle was badly damaged. With the revival began Bishop Charles II. of Liechtenstein, who also is credited with establishing the geometrically interesting design flower garden.
Lock adapted to the Baroque style was damaged by fire in 1752. Other damage occurred at the end II. World War, when retreating German army had torched the castle tower.
Archbishop's palace is today one of the most important cultural and historical monuments of the Czech Republic. In its interior with extensive collections of paintings and rare books.
