Queen Emma - Premyslide wife of Prince Boleslav II. Pious. Its origin or birth year is not entirely clear. Czech historian Gelasius Dobner (1719 - 1790) Emma considered Burgundian princess. After coming to Bohemia lived in Melnik, which probably allowed to mint dinars their name.
Now contemporary coins prove the existence of the monarch: denarius bears on the obverse the Latin legend EMMA REGINA, therefore Queen Emma. It also gave rise to the drafting of an illuminated Wolfenbttelskho Code, which contains the legend of St Wenceslas bishop of Mantua Gumpold. This is the first image of St. Wenceslas at all.
As Boleslavova second wife was probably the mother of his sons Vaclav Jaromir and Oldrich.
Conclusion life was spent in exile in Bavaria, due to the hostile behavior stepson and King Boleslaw III., Who attacked her own sons. Jaromir had castrate Boleslav, Ulrich then tried to kill straight. Both therefore fled abroad with his mother.
Emma died sometime around the year 1005, around the time that is attributed to the formation of Wolfenbttelskho Code.
