Neumannov (15. 2. 1973) - Czech cross country skier, world champion and Olympic champion in 2006 (Turin). The winner of the poll Athlete of the Year 2006. When a year later ended sports career, was named president of the Organizing Committee of the World Championships in Nordic skiing 2009.
About his extraordinary talent she already know as a junior national team when he became world champion twice. On championship gold among seniors had to wait until 2005 (Oberstdorf). The most valuable medal of the championship defended two years later at the World Championships in Sapporo, meanwhile, won gold when i Olympics in Turin (2006). Tam added a silver in pursuit. Its success should be added also silver and bronze medal at the Olympic Games in Nagano (1998) and two silver medals from the Olympics in Salt Lake City (2002).
Kateina Neumannov as competitors also engaged in the discipline of mountain bikes. On the European Mountain Bike Championships in 1995 in Spindleruv Mlyn won the bronze medal.
In 2007, she was appointed President of the Organizing Committee FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2009, held in Liberec. This task, however, its reputation harmed, since the championship ended in debt and its funding cut down by the Supreme Audit Office, which in this context filed a criminal complaint against an unknown perpetrator.
