Jaromir Jagr - (15. 2. 1972) - Czech ice hockey player, representative, double world champion, Olympic champion and holder of the prestigious Stanley Cup. He served in the Czechoslovak league, the NHL and the Russian KHL. In 2011, transferred from Avangard Omsk (KHL) to Philadelphia Flayers (NHL).
Jaromir Jagr is a disciple of Kladno hockey. In 1990 he was drafted by the Pittsburgh Penguins American team, with whom he twice in the following years he won the Stanley Cup.
His representative peak came in 1998, when the national team, led by Ivan Hlinka, won a gold medal at the Winter Olympics in Nagano.
In 2001, he joined the club Washington Capitals. There he too failed and three years later he was traded to the New York Rangers. During the NHL lockout (strike in the 2004/2005 season) a first taste of the Russian Superleague for Siberian club Avangard Omsk. Then headed to Omsk and in 2008 an ambitious club KHL played two seasons.
In 2011, he became the majority owner of the club HC Kladno. In the same year he returned to the NHL.
Jaromir Jagr professes Orthodox faith, Prague patriarch was baptized in 2001. Four years later he became a member of the Triple Gold Club, bringing together players who won at the Olympics, World Championships and the competition for the Stanley Cup.
