Kost - is located in the protected area of ??the Czech Paradise about eighteen miles northwest of the town of Jicin. The history of this very well-preserved castle dates back to the 14th century.
The founder Kost is considered Benes of Wartenberg. The building, standing on a sandstone rock, left in the second half of the 14th century radically rebuild his son Peter of Wartenberg, steward and mentor Charles IV. Among the later owners of the castle were, for example, Christopher Popel of Lobkowicz (1576 added a brewery) and Albrecht von Wallenstein. The last owner before nationalization in 1948 became Anna Marie dal Borgo Netolick. The state in 1993 Kost returned to her sons, who pay through Kinsk dal Borgo, as manages today.
