Castles, Bouzov
Castle Bouzov among the most visited Moravian cultural monuments. Located in the same village, about 10 kilometers south of Mohelnice.
It was founded in the early 14th century by the Buz. During its existence the castle changed owners a wide range. 1382 by the lords of the manor Vildenberk bought Moravian Margrave Jost to him fourteen years later relinquished his followers Heraltovi of Kunttu. In the hands of the Lords of the castle remained Bouzov with shorter breaks almost until the end of the 15th century.
It is interesting that Bouzov is considered one of the few places where he could be born future Czech King George of Podebrady. He later moved to his estate followers Zdenek Kostka of Postupic. At the end of the seventeenth century the castle was bought by Teutonic Knights in the property remained until 1939. After World War II, the castle was confiscated by the Czechoslovak state.
