Hana Vtov (24th 1st 1914 - 3. 3. 1987) - Star Czechoslovak cinema thirties and forties of the twentieth century. During his career he starred in more than fifty films.
Hana Vtov, Lakov original name, was born in Prague musical artists Hanus and Hana Lakovm.
Both parents were opera singers, and moreover father taught at the Prague Conservatory. Their daughter attracted musical career, despite her talent definitely missing. She wanted to become a teacher. Finally, given the wishes of parents and enrolled in the conservatory. The combination of charm and artistic talents soon led her to the Liberated Theatre, where she was involved popular duo Voskovec and Werich. Voskovec became her idol, the first brief marriage but lived with operetta singer Jaroslav Pospisil. At the time of engagement at the theater Oldrich Novy met second husband, the chief editor of the film magazine Kinorevue, Frederick Rdl. Their partnership produced a daughter named Bedika. Marriage, however, even in time of war fell apart.
The first film was a comedy Hany VTOV Girl, do not say no from 1932. Significantly for himself but pointed to in the film Money or Your Life (also 1932), which together with Ljubo Herman sang famous song Life is just a coincidence . Song Jaroslav Jezek First Republics became a hit and magic lost even after many decades. Hana Vtov was a stalwart prewar and wartime cinema: the movies, where she played include Cech virgins kutnohorskch (director Otakar Vavra, 1938), Valentin the Good (directed by Martin Fric, 1942 ) and many others. Nevertheless, it has also appeared in two German films managed to shake off the shadow of collaboration. After the war, however, her star began to fade art.
