Adolphe Sax (6. 11. 1814 - 4. 2. 1894) - Belgian musician, musical instrument maker and inventor of the saxophone. A tool that bears his name, was originally intended for brass music. Significantly, however, spread to the onset of jazz.
Adolphe Sax with the construction of musical instruments dealt with from an early age. He was inspired by his father, Charles-Joseph Sax, himself a musical instrument manufacturer. Music education Adolphe won the renowned Royal Conservatory in Brussels. Right then began to experiment whose result was a new design solutions. Saxophone, an instrument which later so radically influenced the music world, Sax first publicly introduced in 1842. Four years later he won a fifteen-year patent on its production for the French military music. This success helped him to victory in the army bands: Saxv orchestra retooling was simply the loudest and unmistakable. The inventor of the soldiers made seven kinds of saxophones from sopranino to the double bass. Saxv business life but accompanied by endless disputes and litigation that it emotionally and financially exhausted. The reason for this conflict were uncertainties regarding some patents. Sometimes he is letting register instruments which only slightly improved or redesigned, which at the original manufacturers aroused indignation. Constant struggle led him to several bankruptcies and the end of life left penniless and forgotten. Saxophone began to be mass popular until the time when the US charmed a new musical genre - jazz. Tin cousin clarinet then penetrated into rock and roll and pop music and became an instrument literally cult.
